Atlanta United vs Aberdeen Match Preview

Today Atlanta United is hosting Scottish side Aberdeen in an early offseason friendly at 3pm today. I’m still uncertain about how many first team players will be there, since I believe they are not required to be at the training ground. I believe that the Atlanta side will be mostly made up of 2s players, which excites me a lot because those are the players that need to get run out. The names of players in particular I want to watch include: Justin Garces (GK), Raimar (D), Noah Cobb (D), Erik Centeno (WB), Alan Carleton (M), Ajani Fortune (M), Darwin Matheus (F), David Meija (F), Tristan Trager (F), and Jackson Conway (F). Many of these players will be in the 18 in the coming years, so it is a great opportunity for them to gain even more exposure.

For Aberdeen, they sit at third in Scotland, with a sizable gap between them and the big Scotland clubs, Celtic and Rangers. Macedonian striker Bojan Miovski with 11 goals in 15 matches in Scotland. Duk, a winger from Cape Verde has also added 8 g/a in 15 matches. Aberdeen seemingly are having a better time without former ATLUTD manager Stephen Glass at the helm, as the club is doing much better.

This should be an exciting match to watch, but I expect Aberdeen to take a convincing victory, since they are trying to keep their first team in form during the break. As for Atlanta, I have no clue how many players are in town so who knows what to expect from this one, but it should be a fun watch in the 47 degree weather that is expected around kickoff at 3.
